NIVKI CHURCH
KEEPS THE UEC BUSY
Nivki
Church of Christ has kept the UEC busy this fall by hosting a range of
outreach and ministry events. Wednesday and Friday nights, church members
have gathered at the UEC for prayer, fellowship, enjoying a simple meal,
Bible teaching, and discussion. A different church member every week has
given a talk on an episode from the life of Elijah or Elisha followed
by small group discussions. About 40-50 people participate each week.
In September, in addition to the larger church meetings, four spiritual
training groups began meeting at the Center. These smaller groups encourage
believers to be more active in living out their faith. Church members
also conduct several individual Bible studies each week at the UEC. On
Tuesdays, Chris Lovingood hosts two English outreaches; the two-hour meetings
involve instruction in English grammar and the basic story line of the
Bible. About 20 participate in these classes.
We are thankful that the UEC continues to support local churches in their
growth and outreach to non-believers.
