ME TEACHING
My teaching sessions dealt with C.S. Lewis' view of heaven as seen in several different texts. This is me attempting to convince the others to read in their precious spare time.
WORSHIP
Tanya, Lera, and Lena worship with their beautiful voices. We worshipped twice each day and learned several new songs during the week.
TEACHER EXTRAORDINAIRE!!
Chris leads one of the teaching sessions at Cherkasy, while his audience
listens attentively. We had two or three teaching session daily on various
subjects centered on Ezekiel.
GRIN AND BEAR IT
Dema smiles as Anya, Galya, Sergiy enjoy his services as a footrest.
IGOR GONE MAD
Sleeping with eight guys in a single room had some funny effects on
Igor.
Artyon hands out the songbooks that were made for the Nivky and Levobereshna churches.
WAITING
IN LINE......
We only had only two bathrooms for 35 people; so Valya waits patiently for her turn.
Sasha, a.k.a. "Zoid," cathes a few winks after (during?) the morning lecture.
BAPTISMS
Galya and Olya both made the decision to dedicate their lives
to Christ. Sergiy and Chris baptize them in the river whiile a swimmer
watches curiously.
STANDING ON THE SHORE
The others congratulate Galya and Olya and wait for their chance to
hug them.
COOKING CREATIONS
Chief Chef Chris concocted several desserts throughout the weeks. The
Snickers® "Pie" and "brownies" turned out extremely
tasty, although Lena and Sasha seem to be having a little trouble.
A SMASHING SUCESS
We presented all 48 chapters of Ezekiel in 27 minutes, and then again in under 5 minutes. This was the cooking program of our production, Ezekiel's "special" recipe, including cow manure.
NIGHTIME ENTERTAINMENT
For our entertainment one night, a group of church members acted out the various parts of a story - someone played the part of a cat, wind, etc. - for the entertainment of the rest of us.
MEALTIME!!
We had our meals in the front yard under our improptu canopy. Luckily, rain only visited us once during the week.
MASSAGES ALL AROUND
Oksana refreshes Tanya after another night on the floor. The gift of massage was in high demand during the week.
